Apple Crumble à la Mode

This delicious recipe is the perfect combination of warm, cinnamon-spiced apples and creamy oats. A simple, healthy dessert that is dairy free, gluten-free, and full of flavor!

(Recipe for 4 servings)

Ingredients:

  • 2 Fuji apples
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp vegan butter
  • 1.5 cup oats
  • 2 cup almond milk (or milk of choice)
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp golden flaxseed meal
  • Optional: 2 tbsp chia seeds

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix together oats, milk, flaxseed, baking powder, and cinnamon. Blend in a blender or food processor until smooth.
  2. Transfer the oat mixture to pan.
  3. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Wash, peel, and cube the Fuji apples.
  5. In a non-stick pan over medium-low heat, melt maple syrup and vegan butter. Add apple cubes and cook for 5-6 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Spoon the caramelized apples over the oat mixture in ramekins.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
  8. Optional: top with a scoop of dairy-free ice cream!
