Our 10 Best Travel Tips
Essential Takeaways
- We've learned from our travel mistakes and gathered 10 valuable tips to help you make the most of your adventures.
Â
1. Stay hydrated
Travel disrupts our daily routines, which means we may not be drinking as much water as we normally would if we were at home. Additionally, you're probably not used to environment â you may be eating saltier foods or drinking more alcohol or caffeine than youâre used to.
However, staying hydrated is key in helping your body function properly, preventing jet lag, and mitigating many unpleasant symptoms like headaches and upset stomaches that can arise from long journeys
By prioritizing hydration, you can ensure a more comfortable and enjoyable travel experience overall.
2. Travel with a good-quality water bottle
Traveling with a good-quality water bottle is important to help you stay hydrated on your flight and during your travels. This way you can re-use the same bottle thousands of times and never pay for bottled water again!
3. Bring your supplements
Things can get hectic when youâre traveling. Your normal routine gets interrupted, and you might forget to do certain things. So, don't forget to take your supplements with you.
Skipping doses and depriving your body essential vitamins and nutrients is not ideal. Our supplement pouches are travel-friendly, small, and mess-free. Consider building your own travel pack and bringing a small pouch to store your supplements.
Â
4. Keep your essentials close
What you pack will be based on where you're going and how long you're traveling for, but the best travel accessories can improve every trip. However, having the right gear means a smoother journey, every time.
- A trusted tote or backpack
- A blanket
- Headphones
- Chapstick
- Hand sanitizer
- Portable charger
- Supplements (Vitamin C, Magnesium, and Activated Charcoal are my go-to)
- Water bottle
- Pen

5. Make the most of little moments
Maybe youâre exhausted from walking around all day and just want to head back to your hotel and call it a night. Or maybe youâre super hungry and sitting at a cafĂŠ hoping your waiter will take your order already. Instead of getting in your head, breathe. These are perfect times to relax, look around, take in the scenery. And these moments worth savoring if you take the time to notice them.
Â
6. Prioritize sleep
When we rest well, our bodies can recover and rejuvenate, allowing us to tackle the day ahead with renewed energy and vitality. From exploring new destinations to being alert and present, being well-rested enhances our cognitive abilities, memory retention, and decision-making skills. It enables us to make the most out of our travel experiences and ensures that we are at our best, both physically and mentally.
Â
7. Slow down
The truth is, we donât always have the opportunity to slow down and move at our own pace. Even on vacation, thereâs an urge to visit, do and see as many things as possible.
When you travel at a slower pace and focus on being present, you are naturally able to immerse yourself in the culture and place that youâre in.
Slow travel may mean different things to people, but I think itâs about taking the time to make real connections and memories versus jam-packing a schedule.
Â
8. Keep An Open Mind
Respect and embrace different lifestyles and customs. Listen to diverse opinions without judgment, practicing empathy and understanding. Acknowledge that your perspective is not the only valid one, and be open to learning from others.
Â
9. Donât neglect your health
Remember to be kind to your body. Get enough sleep, stay hydrated, nourish your body, and move. Take breaks when you need to and give your body time to recover.
Â
10. Experience instead of document
Iâm sure weâre all guilty of doing this: walking through a museum or a new destination and taking photos or videos the ENTIRE time. This keeps us from immersing ourselves in the now and truly experiencing the moment. So, unplug. Keep experiences at a maximum and documentation at a minimum.
