Scorpio season is for feelings. Often misunderstood, Scorpios are as sensitive as they are powerful. This fixed water sign is not afraid of the dark. Falling between October 22nd and November 21st, Scorpio season calls us to gather our grit and discover what lives beneath the surface. Here are a few ways we can harness Scorpio’s emotional intensity for growth this season.
Face Your Fears
Scorpios are armed with a certain magnetism toward depth. We can channel their bravery as we find the vulnerability to be honest with ourselves and others. Sometimes a fear of appearing “too intense” can blunt our ability to say what we really mean. Just remember, honesty leads to deeper connection, even if the waters get a little choppy on the way there. To supercharge our commitment to telling the truth, the New Moon in Scorpio presents itself on November 19th, urging us to admit what we really want and what might be standing in the way.
Aside from connecting through conversation, we can also uncover understanding by engaging in self-study. Journaling and meditation are excellent companions in this process. Free writing alleviates some of the pressure inside and helps to organize our thoughts. Meditating on the feelings we find can help us work toward clarity.
Feel Your Feelings
Meditation can look like finding a comfortable seat and focusing your attention on your breath. While you inhale and exhale, thoughts may flash across your mind, and you’ll do your best to redirect the attention back to your breath. Through this process, you may create space for new perspectives to shine through.
Whether in conversation or solo, give yourself permission to feel however you feel. No matter what comes up, do your best to honor these feelings and sit with them as they surface. The act of going toward our feelings helps us to eventually dismantle and work through them.
Create Meaningful Change
Standing face-to-face with our truth can feel overwhelming, but we have the opportunity to use this intensity as motivation to create meaningful change in our lives. Alchemizing emotion into action can show up in many ways – maybe it’s loosening our grip on control, setting necessary boundaries, or releasing what’s not working for us anymore. This is the time to let go of what’s draining our energy.
This process can feel unsettling, but the excavation may ultimately lead to more stability in our lives. We build emotional resiliency by facing our fears, feeling our feelings, and being honest with ourselves about what needs to change. We might also notice a renewed sense of purpose as we go toward the core of our experience, discovering the beauty we find there.
