Promotes Healthy Aging

Lutein and Zeaxinthin are carotenoids that naturally occur in several fruits and vegetables. Carotenoids are fat soluble pigments usually yellow, red, or orange in food that may also act as antioxidants.
Lutein is a major carotenoid present in skin cells. Both Lutein and zeaxanthin inhibit the peroxidation of membrane lipids and protect the skin from high-energy sources (UV light). Lutemax® has been clinically studied to promote even skin tone and radiance.
Lutemax® is a clinically-studied ratio of lutein and zeaxanthin that is shown to improve skin health. While we promote the use of botanicals, we’re committed to including clinically-validated doses and ingredients for maximum benefit.
The lutein and zeaxanthin in this formula are sourced from the marigold flower. Other sources include cantaloupe, pasta, corn, carrots, orange and yellow peppers, fish, salmon, and eggs.
Our bodies cannot make lutein and zeaxanthin on their own, so these nutrients must be obtained from the diet, specifically colorful fruits and vegetables, or via dietary supplementation.
