Marine Cryptophytes Are Great Sources of EPA and DHA
DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid)

Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA) is an essential omega 3 long-chain fatty acid.
“Essential” nutrients are those the body cannot produce on its own, meaning they must be obtained from the diet. DHA is a potent anti-inflammatory, among many other things. Those with cardiovascular, nervous system, and vision impairments are encouraged to take omega-3s as part of their diet. DHA is recognized as the primary contributing omega for lowering blood pressure and improving platelet function. It is vital for maintaining the shape of photoreceptor cells in our eyes, helping to improve vision development and repair. Pediatricians also recommend DHA because it is a crucial nutrient for brain and nervous system development while pregnant or breastfeeding. It also aids eye, heart, and cognitive function throughout the lifespan.
DHA traditionally comes from fish, although fish do not produce DHA themselves. They absorb omegas from the algae they consume, which we extract directly for a purer, plant-based, and eco-friendly source that is sustainable for the environment. Our DHA is sourced from abundant algae pools in Nova Scotia. These wild heirloom strains are collected and then cultured in an organic Canadian Non-GMO-certified facility for purity and conscious manufacturing at every step.

Did You Know?
This vegan source of omega-3 fatty acids, extracted in a readily absorbable form, is a revolutionary product for all, regardless of diet. Most omega-3s in sea vegetables and plant foods are in the precursor form of ɑ-linoleic acid (ALA), which the body cannot convert to the bioavailable DHA/EPA (although EPA can be synthesized in very small amounts from ALA). Vegans struggle to obtain adequate DHA/EPA in their diet, as plant sources only provide ALA.
