Astrology 101 Pt 3: The Houses

Now that we’ve got the lowdown on each zodiac sign, it’s time to explore the 12 zodiac houses. Think of these houses as different rooms in the house of your life, each spotlighting a different aspect of your journey.
Here's where it gets interesting: depending on your birth chart, different zodiac signs will influence different houses. This means that each house will have its own flavor of energy, depending on which sign is hanging out there.
For instance, if Cancer is cozying up in your 11th house–the house of friendships–you might find yourself bringing a caring, maternal vibe to your social circle.
Like the signs, the houses always line up in a set order from 1 to 12. But here’s the twist: your rising sign, or ascendant (the sign at the start of your first house), can be any of the twelve signs, depending on your birth time. This rising sign sets the stage for the rest of your chart to follow in sequence. That’s why one person might have Aquarius in their second house while someone else might have Leo in theirs—the charts start with different rising signs!
Each chart is like a unique cosmic fingerprint, blending signs and houses in a one-of-a-kind way just for you. It's a tool for self-discovery and personal growth, offering insights into your strengths, challenges, and potential.
Here is a brief overview of each house and the area of life it corresponds with:
House 1: Self, self-image, how we see the world, physical appearance
The first house in astrology, or the Ascendant, defines how you see the world and how you come across to others. It’s all about your self-expression, personal style, and initial approach to life. This house shapes your outward behavior and sets the stage for the rest of your astrological chart. It also governs your physical appearance and stature.
